Porto Alegre Apron - Organic Cotton

124.00

Our most popular apron is back in organic cotton!

THE DESIGN

The Porto Alegre can be worn low (for a Japanese-inspired look) or high (halter-top style). The strap and cord design make the apron totally adjustable and comfortable for all day wear. Plus, you have the option of choosing between a Regular Fit or Bust Pleats that allow the apron to mold to the body and give room to large bust sizes. It's just as perfect in the studio as it is in the kitchen. Wherever you wear it, you'll be sure to impress visitors, clients and friends – especially when you tell them it's a zero-waste design (which means no fabric went to waste in the making of it). The fabric that gets cut away to form the bib becomes the super handy center-front hip pockets.

WHERE IT'S SEWN

Our aprons are made in our studio in Oakland, California. With hand-finished seams this apron looks as beautiful inside as it does on the outside. Seriously, no serged seams. Our aprons last a lifetime.

THE CLOTH

Our dreamy organic cotton cloth – a medium blue selvedge denim with white selvedge stripe – is made by Cone Mills in North Carolina. Straps are made of the same fabric as the body of the apron and finished with a top quality 3/8" cotton cord.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these suggestions to extend the life of your apron. Remove cord to wash. Because fibers deteriorate more rapidly when washed and dried in heat, we recommend washing textiles in cold water, and always air drying. After washing, flatten any wrinkles by hand and hang or dry flat. Windows and sunny areas are great places for air drying garments. Check out our Care Manuals for more details.

SIZING

It's an apron. It comes in one size, yes, but we feel compelled to talk about this. Though our aprons appear to run on the small side, we have a wide range of genders and sizes in mind when we design. For instance, the Porto Alegre with Large Bust Pleats fits everyone from the extra small to the tall, curvy and busty. The Minas Gerais's small bib is inspired by a popular vintage style of apron that used to be mostly worn by men, including very large men. If an apron with a larger bib is what you're looking for, the Pelotas is your best bet!

MADE-TO-ORDER

Some of our goods are made in small-batches while other items are made-to-order. Made-to-order means that we sew it once we receive your order. This also means that it usually takes one to two weeks for us to ship it out. We're always working to streamline our process and are proud to offer the highest quality sewing in the fastest reasonable timeframe.

SHIPPING

All orders ship via USPS Priority Mail, which guarantees fast and safe delivery.
