Thank you!
That’s our fabric on the loom. :)
On our way to Greenville,SC to check out the mill weaving the fabric for @ebbfilter. We cannot wait!!!!
Honored to have our @ebbfilter and our @fibershed_ jumpsuit mentioned in @sfchronicle_style today in a piece about sustainable fashion in the bay by @taracduggan featuring comments by Rebecca Burgess of @fibershed_ and Andrea Plell of @sustainablefashionalliance. Thank you @lauracomptonsf and @taracduggan for including our work and thoughts about sustainability in this piece.
We’re currently driving towards Chattanooga, Tennessee to stay the night on a working farm. It’s raining. It’s been raining. And it will continue raining for a few more days. Luckily there’s little traffic and we’ve given ourselves plenty of time. —
In Texas we saw how the organic cotton that will be used in @ebbfilter is grown and how it’s ginned. Getting closer to South Carolina now where we’ll see how it goes from yarn to woven cloth. Still can’t believe how amazing it is to be seeing so much land—visually connecting the places—and understanding the minute details of how woven cloth is made. This trip is partly funded by our recently completed Kickstarter. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. We’re compiling A LOT of information and will be sharing the information with you once we’re back home!
