Workshop: Textile 101 for People Who Wear Clothes

Back by popular demand, this informative workshop from Geana Sieburger of GDS Cloth Goods comes to the Main Floor of our new store at 117 Post Street on Saturday, June 22, from 11:00-1:00.

This class will detail the process from fiber to textile, demystifying the major fiber types through a step-by-step introduction to cotton, wool, silk, linen and their man-made counterparts, and continuing with a discussion of woven fabrics vs. knit fabrics and how each of these are constructed. In the process, you'll put together a useful swatch kit to reference whenever you need a refresher. All materials are included and space is limited!
