Have you ever stood in front of your closet, frustrated with the feeling of not having anything to wear when you obviously have plenty to choose from? Or been disappointed by a laundry disaster? This workshop is part self-exploration, part skill-building. The end goal? To build better, more meaningful wardrobes and make them last a very long time. In this workshop, participants become confident caretakers of their wardrobes, and begin to see the larger picture of how their habits impact the world we share.
A beautiful zine and workbook, Long Live Cloth, will guide the workshop first through questions designed to help us take a deeper look at our relationships to fashion. Then we’ll learn the differences between cotton, linen, wool, silk and human-made fibers. Last, we’ll learn and share the best laundry tips to extend the life of your entire wardrobe. The zine and knowledge (that will change your approach to fashion forever) are yours to keep!
