Long Live Cloth

  • E.M. Wolfman 410 13th Street Oakland, CA, 94612 United States (map)

In this workshop, Geana shares her knowledge of fibers and experience with garment care to extend the life of your wardrobe whether it's made up of precious vintage pieces, locally-made artisan garments or just pieces you've grown to love. Long Live Cloth is about sharing a knowledge that stopped being handed down through the generations. It's about connecting the gap between what our grandmothers knew about garment care and the lack of information now, with younger generations.

Through demonstrations, you'll see how and learn why different fibers should be washed using slightly different methods. Everyone will be invited to bring garments and stories of their own to share with the group.

Participation only costs $25. Space is limited.
