On July 22nd, I'll be leading an activity that involves building with fabric. When I was a kid, one of my favorite activities was to find the biggest bed sheets and maneuver furniture around to build something that inside it felt secret and our own. I'd do this with my brother and my sister, but it was always best when my dad played because he built the best 'forts'. He also kept us from getting in trouble with mom, somehow, for using the sheets and taking up so much space. So, on July 22nd I'll go back to being 6--to the days of 'fort' building--and 20--to the college days of once again experimenting with textiles and interior/private space.
